Otis 3 - Hey…You're Supposed to Scratch My Belly!

This is another picture of my friend's golden retriever that recently passed away. He seems to be saying to me to put down the camera and get to scratching my belly.

Here's another painting of Otis. Can't you just see him saying, "I do believe in spooks. I do believe in spooks."

Otis

Sold

This is a painting of one of my friends dogs. His name was Otis and he was a Golden Retriever who had one of the biggest heads I've ever seen on a dog. He was a big softy and always reminded me of the cowardly lion in the Wizard of Oz. Unfortunately, Otis passed away the day before St. Patty's day. Here, he's doing one of his favorite things...lying on his back to have his stomach rubbed.

I thought I'd use a low key composition for this painting of an onion.

Cucumber

This is a cucumber. I had to laugh because this reminds me of the scene in Animal House with Otter and Dean Wormer's wife.

Acorn Squash

I positioned the acorn squash to that it is just peering out from the darkness into the light.

Eggplant

Sorry about the glare but this is the best I could do and still keep some of the subtle variations in color on the eggplant itself.

Captain Crunch Piggy Bank

This is a Captain Crunch piggy bank. I used back lighting and tried to arrange the folds so they all pointed towards the piggy bank which is the main subject of the painting.
